How we spent our Birthday October 27,2008

Our Birthday Party was on Sunday but our actual Birthday was Monday October 27th. First we got dressed in some new clothes bought by Aunt Michelle, then our mom put on the leg warmers she bought us they are so cute and sparkly we love them so we wanted mom to take a picture of them.

After daddy got home from work we went to visit our Great grandma, Edith Batton. We love her so much. She loves watching us play and we make her laugh a lot.

We made sure we took a family picture representing 4 generations.

Next it was off to McDonald's for play time and a happy meal. We loved it. Believe it or not we have never played at a McDonald's play place before so this was a real treat. The following pictures show how much fun we had.

MMMMMM french fries or as we like to say it..."fren fries"We feel like such big girls with our own drink.

Of course our Brother Liam got in on the fun.

Our 2nd birthday has been so fun. We are grateful we have so many people who love us so much.

Twins Turn TWO!!!

WOW two already? Where does the time go?
Mommy, Daddy and birthday girls.

Aunt Jenni. The twins love her and her house sooo much whenever we pull up to her house they start yelling all excited, "aunt Jenni, aunt Jenni"

Fun and funny Grandma Phyllis. The twins love her hand plays and stories and songs. She keeps them entertained.

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Paula. The twins like to play spider with grandpa, and Paula's sweet nature is contagious.

Liam our crazy kid is the only one who can make the twins laugh hysterically. This day he was riding them around on his back and they loved it, laughing and being silly.

This year I went the cheap route with the cake. Instead of the Flour Girl bakery in Cleveland I bought 2 McDonald's cakes. They are a must try. They really are very tasty. The twins loved it of course, and they did really well blowing out their own candles.

The twins watching their new Barney Video. As soon as they opened it they wanted to go watch it right away.

The night finally came and into our jammies for bed, but before they were off to sleep they did a little un-decorating by pulling down the streamers with best buddy Nathan. A sweet hug and two happy little girls.

Early fall pics

My big family of 8 and I LOVE IT!

My Babies/Toddlers...I'm not ready to give up saying babies yet.
After this shot my boys spent the remainder of the time at the park finding the biggest sticks they could and hitting each other with it while laughing their heads off. Boys?...who can figure them out.

For this shot the girls wanted to do a "my space" pose...whatever.

My baby and me. I LOVE my hubby so much, I am so blessed.
OUR FALL DAY
We went to the park by our house to take some early fall pics. There were some changing leaves but still pretty green. The fall has been perfect so far, crisp air, sunny skies, and beautiful colors starting to show everywhere. I love Ohio. I never appreciated it so much until I traveled. I loved the mountains out west but I missed the green here. Out east and down south the weather was warmer but I missed the cool falls and winter, the humidity is a lot worse south too. I Think it is perfect here we are free from major weather problems. We get to experience all 4 seasons. Now I want to travel to the New England states. I have a feeling though that I will still be homesick for Ohio. Well This fall day we had fun taking pictures and spending time together outside. The color theme was brown's and navy's. Of course we never fell too cooped up, even in the winter, thanks to snowboarding and sledding. People are amazed I like winter so much but I really do. I love that it gets darker earlier and I love the cold winter nights. I like fall and winter fashions a lot more than summer fashions. The kids love Ohio too but they have a little warmer blood than me because they love that California LA/Palm springs HOT HOT summer sun. For now I will take in all I can here, I have a feeling we may all end up out west someday.

Americas next top model?

Yesterday while at the park taking pictures, me, Mya, and Harmony decided to have a top model challenge. The Chad and the boys were the judges. I don't know who is familiar with that show but me and the girls used to watch it, we thought it was so fun to watch the challenges. The models would have to do hard or weird things and still look like a model. So yesterday we had our own. The three challenges were 1st, riding across the rail while posing, 2nd cheerleading jump, and 3rd falling over. Well, Harmony won all three challenges. Unlike the real show there were no cat fights or name calling Mya and I lost gracefully while laughing at our pics. I posted the three wining shots. Could Harmony be Americas next top model who knows, all I know is this girl loves to have her picture taken. The Tyra Banks hit show has become pretty raunchy so we do not watch it anymore. Its too bad because it was pretty good.

A look back

It is so hard to believe that the twins will turn 2 on October 27. I have survived! Now the twos are coming, uh oh, I am still grateful they are healthy and happy little girls. They are very energetic too they never stop moving. The pictures above are their little hands and and feet when they were newborns. No I do not remember who they belong to. I love their tiny little fingers and toes, I miss that too. I sometimes wonder if I will ever stop missing when my kids were babies. There is something so sweet about a newborn baby.

A two year old is full of wonder about the world and I just have to keep remembering this when they destroy my house with discovery. When the books on the book shelf are all un-shelved again when there is no more toilet paper because they have unrolled it all, and when they use my bread pans as ice skates I have to remember to teach and to laugh and not yell. They are after all innocent and still soooo sweet!

They have me so fooled...ha ha

Summer News

The summer is here, and already going fast. Forrest, Mya, Harmony, and Liam are all in Reseda California (LA) Visiting with dad Travis, step mom Marika, and new baby brother Mattias. They are also spending time with cousins and uncles. They are having a great time. We all talk everyday. I miss them tons. I do not breathe the same because 4 pieces of my heart are missing. I am getting lots done here though and trying to use my extra time wisely.
My mom got us ALL a membership at the Massillon Recreation center. She is SO awesome. I honestly do not know how she keeps up with needs of all her children and grandchildren. THANKS MOM!! We have gone quite a bit. The babies are warming up to the water and starting to have lots of fun. I like summer but I do not love it. I prefer fall and winter but I plan to make this a great summer, I might even let myself get a tan. I usually hide from the sun…I don’t want any wrinkles!!!!
