Mya was just elected Student Council Vice President. We are proud of her for this accomplishment, mainly because she had to earn a place in student council with good academics and teacher recommendations, then it was up to the students to vote for their council members. Since taking office she has come up with several ideas to raise awareness for anti-drug polices, came up with fun ways to express school spirit and even does the afternoon announcements over the loud speaker for up coming student council events.

Mya is a hard worker in school and she actually really loves it. She hates when she has a day off.

Trunk or Treat Costumes

I do not celebrate Halloween as a holiday. I refuse to spend any money on anything related to Halloween. the only event I take them to is Trunk or Treat at the Church. So every year the kids get creative coming up with costumes for the event. Since I do not buy anything, they are very good at coming up with cool stuff and they have fun doing it. They borrow costumes from friends and relatives or come up with an original idea from stuff we have at home. This year they did great and we got a lot of laughs and people were confused on who was who. Can you tell?

TOP DARE STUDENT

Harmony and Dare Teacher, Officer Watson

We are so proud of Harmony. She was awarded Top Dare Student. The Dare program is a class in school that teaches kids about drugs, alcohol, and violence awareness. Harmony has taken this course for two years and she recently attended the graduation. The dare program is a big deal in the school it consists of lots of information regarding peer pressure, drug abuse and how to resist violence and deal appropriately with anger. Harmony had to complete a workbook and take a final exam, plus submit an essay on all she learned and how she plans to apply this to her life. When all the essays are submitted, Officer Watson(the Perry Police Officer in charge of the program) and the Principal read the essays and together to pick a Top Dare Student.

Officer Watson called me in advance to tell me the news that Harmony was picked. We were so excited but had to keep it a secret until the graduation so they could announce it and surprise her. Harmony wanted this award so bad, she thought there was no way she was getting it considering the number of students. When they called her name she was beaming and happy.

They Gave her a certificate and a Medal of Honor. She also gets to be in the Pro Football Hall of fame parade and the Richville Parade next summer. They gave her a huge black duffel bag full of goodies like a DARE hat, necklace,t-shirt,and all sorts of other cool stuff. We are so very proud of her she worked so hard and deserved this honor. GREAT GOING HARMONY!!!

A day at the zoo

We spent a warm autumn day at the Akron zoo. We went to the zoo in the summer too but the animals were all sleeping and not very active. My sis Jen told me to go in the fall because the animals are a lot more active since the weather is cooler. She was right it was great, the animals were so active and we had a great time watching them. I posted pictures of our three favorites.

The Akron zoo has beautiful gardens and we took a lot of pictures there. We spent some time just hanging out there and exploring.

Mya Carter

Singer, Poet, Friendly. Sensitive, Caring, good friend. She is the softness in our home. Mya is my little mother she helps so much with the babies. They love her like a second mom. I always call her my queen, and she reigns surpreme sometimes even with a little attitude. Her strength will carry through the temptations in this life. She is firm in her beliefs and I am so proud of her. I love her warm smile. She looks so much like her late Grandma Marsha, which is such a blessing. Now her dad can see his mom in his beautiful daughter.

Harmony Carter

Fashion designer, Trendsetter, Go getter. Loving, Huggable, smiley. She is the Light in our home. Harmony will go far in life she is determined and will work hard for her success. She is driven and studies hard in school. She likes things organized and neat. She is playful and sometimes has us laughing at her silliness. I am so grateful for her. I prayed for another girl when I was pregnant with her because I wanted Mya to have a sister. I hope she knows how special it is to be a sister and to be a good one. She radiates and we are blessed to have her.

Liam Carter

Artist, Writer, Comedian. Intelligent, thoughtful, cool. He is the truth in our home.Liam is starting at Canton Country Day School this year.We are so proud he was accepted in. He is a rare gem with great potential. He is our little einstein. When he was little he did not talk much he used to play thoughfully and examine things. he was always anxious to get bigger so he could do big things. I hope you never lose your fire to be big Liam. Liam collects build a bears. He also writes and illustrates hilarious comic books. As long as he keeps believing in Himself he will go far. He is ma-ma's heart.

Linnea Tsoufiou

Happy, loves books, Cautious, Girly, Passionate. She is our sweet angel.God bleesed Linnea with a twin now she will have alife long friend who will be so close to her heart. Linnea looks out for Larissa she tries to keep her out of trouble and leads her into trouble too. She moves non-stop when she is awake, and tires mommy out. She is going throught the taking off clothes and diaper phase. Does anyone know of any escape-proof clothes? I feel overwhelmed alot but alos overwhelmed with good feelings for my glorious blessings.

Summer News

The summer is here, and already going fast. Forrest, Mya, Harmony, and Liam are all in Reseda California (LA) Visiting with dad Travis, step mom Marika, and new baby brother Mattias. They are also spending time with cousins and uncles. They are having a great time. We all talk everyday. I miss them tons. I do not breathe the same because 4 pieces of my heart are missing. I am getting lots done here though and trying to use my extra time wisely.
My mom got us ALL a membership at the Massillon Recreation center. She is SO awesome. I honestly do not know how she keeps up with needs of all her children and grandchildren. THANKS MOM!! We have gone quite a bit. The babies are warming up to the water and starting to have lots of fun. I like summer but I do not love it. I prefer fall and winter but I plan to make this a great summer, I might even let myself get a tan. I usually hide from the sun…I don’t want any wrinkles!!!!
