Following my "Dreams"

When I look around me I discover that all my dreams are here. My daily chores are my dance career, as I use creative moves and and delicate touches to choreograph a masterpiece of cleanliness and order. The dance of laundry and moping can all be a personal sonnet of love and service as I wrap myself in the idea of a place of escape for my children and husband to come home to.

My decorating is my artist dream as I create a work of art in all the furnishings and decorating elements that I choose for my home. I am using the canvas of my home and painting a place of artistic individuality and personal style. I imagine new works of art while creating a place of fun and relaxation for each one of my kids bedrooms.

My business career and CEO dreams takes shape in the daily business like affairs of the home. I have budgeting, finance planning, and home management. I have a complaint department, daily schedules, and discipline.

My dreams of starting my own business and creating something from nothing are fulfilled in the awesome gift of pro-creation. The miracle of bearing children is something I will NEVER take for granted. I also get to create beautiful gardens and well trimmed bushes and vegetables. Everyday that I work in my garden I feel a little closer to the earth and its spirit of life.

My dream of service work take place in the most important place on earth...My home. Every time I wipe a tear, bandage a boo boo, do hair, kiss a cheek, hug with tight arms, dress, protect, entertain, teach and nurture, I am doing the most valuable service I can attend to.

My dream of being a teacher are in every heart to heart talk with my kids, its teaching them everything from their ABC'S to manners and why is the world round? Mommy where did I come from? I get to teach everyday and I teach in so many fun and creative ways. Mostly by example though.

My dream of being a superstar are fulfilled every time I hear "mommy!"I love this sound. I love the look on my kids face when they see me at their concerts, sporting events, performances,etc. I love the way they look at me in the morning and at night. I am a celebrity in their eyes and nothing can be More fulfilling than that.

I realize that giving love is the thing that completes me. Sure there are days when I am selfish or tired and scared and sick, but I have chosen to find joy in this life and in my everyday life. I opened my eyes today, when I had my little girl on my lap and another holding my hand that all that I give is given to myself. I am so thankful for all the lessons ,my children have taught me. Children really are a heritage of God. Children, by the essence of their being...LOVE, bring light to a dark world and lead us to the kingdom of Heaven.

It saddens me deeply when I hear someone say they are leaving their children to follow their dreams or they feel trapped being a mom and wish they could follow their dreams. I tell you what greater dream could there be then children...Oh my how my heart swells and how I am suddenly humbled by my calling as Mother...Homemaker. There is no dream more fulfilling and easier to achieve than that of a good parent. I am so happy and filled with joy when I think on the impact all my work contains. I am so happy God has showed me that my dreams are all around me and I get to have it ALL. Being a mom is NOT mundane it is a privilege and it is my finest work...I am so Thankful I can do it.

All girl beach Party

This is beautiful headlands beach in Mentor. We absolutely love it here. It is like being at the ocean without all the salty air that makes you sick. The girls wanted to come here to be with their friends and capture some great sunset pics. We packed a big cooler of food and headed up. It was 2 car fulls of girls. Me and my mom drove them up, we did not have to be dragged up we love it here and would come anytime we get a chance. I was having fun watching the girls play and still be young and free. I also love to see how close they all are and how not afraid they are to show affection toward each other. They all got along great and we had a great group of girls there. The best of the best. We missed Jordan however who had to go to a state track meet, and Baylee who had baseball. We can't wait to get them all together again when the kids return from Cali.

Alyse on the lifeguard stand, I love this pic of Alyse because it not posed. I took so many pics of this girl I only put a few up here, but she loves posing for pics. She wanted me to take so many. She is beautiful and I wanted to capture her unposed and just being Alyse. Alyse is like a daughter to me, when she comes over I always make a trip to get her something good. usually Panera bread and olive oil. She gets what she wants.

Mya and Emily again. This is the first year since first grade that Mya found a true best friend. In 1st grade it was Sadie who sadly had to move to Columbus. We tried to take her to see her a lot but after a while they lost contact. Now Mya has met her true best friend match. I love seeing these two together even though they are CRAZY and SO SILLY. Yet they can get very serious and confide their deepest most private thoughts and cry together. They are great and I hope they remain true best friends their whole lives.

My awesome mom was the came up with me and what an adventure we had on the way there and on the way back with 2 cars full of girls. It was great to have her there we love headlands and of course it was a perfect night. She looks so beautiful in front of this amazing sunset.

A day in Columbus

May 30th we went with the kids to the Columbus Temple. They had a Temple trip with the youth and we went along and waited for them outside and in the church across the street. We decided to go with them to spend the day in Columbus when they got done at the Temple. We love Columbus, it is not too far and we go a lot for various things. There is a lot to do and GREAT shopping. Anyway before I sound like I'm doing a travel ad for them I'll go on. After the Temple we went with the youth group for a lunch at a buffet treated by the church. When we were all full we headed to the Topiary gardens, we had never been there before and it was actually quite nice. The twins loved it. It was good to relax and just unwind after lunch. Then we went to a street festival which was fun too. The babies got to jump in their favorite jumpie. We walked around looking at some art work and hanging out with each other. The kids got face paintings and drawings done. When we first got there the kids played on the playground a little bit but Forrest cut his leg pretty bad. After I bandaged him all up, he went to sit in the car because his leg really hurt...poor Forrest:( He missed out on Me, Xavior, and Liam burning ourselves. We stopped at a ladies table selling homemade salsa and we taste tested them all. Well most of them. We went to the hot table and me and Xave got excited we love hot stuff. All the salsas were rated for hotness from 1-10 most of the ones we tried were about 9/10 then there was one left it had a rating that went through the scale. They put it up way past ten and the salsa was called "stupid hot" Well ignoring all the signs of death on the label, I tried the first chip full. The lady was staring at me and waiting for me to react somehow. It actually started out tasting really good them the heat hit me and kept getting HOTTER I was like OK WOW and she said I am proud of you you are not screaming or anything, I told her Hey I have had 6 kids I'm good in the pain category. My tongue was so numb and my lips too. Them Xavior said he wanted to try it. I told him not to. but he did not listen. He gulped down an even bigger helping then me. I was nervous watching him, he started sweating and eating up the chips she had there, he was like oh my gosh that is really hot. We laughed. Then we were all getting ready to leave and I looked back to see if everyone was with us and my eyes nearly poped out of my head as I helplessly watched Liam take a chip with the same dip me and Xave just had, I screamed NO NO, Mya and Xave were laughing, and I ran up to Liam. He started spitting it out and screaming HELP HELP MOM, He then was crying and spiting everywhere people were looking at us, I hurried to give him more chips to offset the heat but it did not work he was crying so hard. I knew just how he felt and I felt so bad. I looked at Mya and they were still laughing I was VERY mad at them, it turns out they dared him to do it. ANother score for the older sibling teasing the younger one. Poor Liam, He got over it eventually and then he calmed down and started to enjoy himself. The rest of the day was good and then we ended up at the Franklin Park Conservatory to watch a light show. We stopped At Wendy's on the way and took our dinner to sit and enjoy the sunset and the evening. It was a nice time together and we loved it.

We visited the Topiary Gardens and it is a quiet little park nestled in to a nice neighborhood. They have all sorts of topiary figures growing in these wire molds. it was fun to see and we just relaxed there and took pics. Here the babies loved the kitty kat topiary, they were petting her.

The Palm house at the Franklin Park Conservatory. We love it here it is our get away. We have so much fun. This night we sat outside on a blanket to watch the palm house light up with all different colors. The display was courtesy of light artist James Turrell. It was beautiful but a little hard to capture due to lack of lighting. the next pic was taken by Chad and was the best shot we got.
